What tools and equipment are available?

    Our inventory is constantly changing and info available online, including the following, may be out of date. Tools may also be "out of order" at any time, even though we have it, and repair timelines can't be guaranteed. The best way to get an idea of the current status of our equipment without going to the space is checking in the Slack community.

    That said, here's of some tools we're commonly asked about:

    Laser Cutter:
    A large-format 80W Rabbit Laser USA CO2 laser cutter (Model RL-80-1290) with a 3'x4' bed. It is housed in an insulated enclosure with a dedicated AC unit. Cannot be used to cut PVC, polycarbonate, ABS, or other plastics containing chlorine. Do not cut wood with heavy finishes.

    3D Printers:
    * **Resin Printers:** A dedicated resin printing station.
    * **FDM (Filament) Printers:** A variety of FDM printers including Prusa models, Centauri Carbon, Sovol, and a delta printer.
    * **AVID CNC:** A large 5x10 CNC router for wood and plastics. Requires specific training.
    * **LPKF ProtoMat:** A specialized PCB milling machine.

    Woodworking:
    * **Table Saw:** A SawStop Professional Cabinet Saw with a safety brake system and dust collection.
    * **Other Saws:** A large Panel Saw, Miter Saw, Rockwell 14" Band Saw, Delta Mortiser, and a historic Rockwell Jointer.
    * **Planer:** A DeWalt thickness planer.
    * **Sanders:** A Performax 22-44 Plus Drum Sander, and a stationary combination belt/disc sander.
    * **Other:** A high-quality router table, a ShopSmith Mark 5 multi-tool (saw/lathe/drill), and a "Mobile Tool & Materials Partition" (M-TMP) with common hand tools.

    #### Metalworking

    * **Welders:** Vulcan MIG welder, Vulcan AC/DC stick welder, and a Lincoln stick welder. TIG capability is also available.
    * **Finishing:** A sandblaster is available for cleaning and finishing metal parts.
    * **Other:** Multiple air compressors, an anvil and basic forge, and various grinders and hand tools.

    #### Other Craft & Tech Areas

    * **Ceramics & Glass:** A dedicated area with a pottery wheel and an electric kiln. The kiln's temperature can be monitored online and requires authorization for use.
    * **Electronics:** A dedicated workbench with multimeters, a function generator, power supplies, oscilloscopes, and a soldering/hot air station.
    * **Textiles:** A Husqvarna Viking sewing machine and screen printing equipment are available.
    * **Vinyl Cutter:** A vinyl cutter/plotter for making decals and stencils.


    Unavailable:
    No plasma cutter is available at this time.
    The automotive section has been decommissioned for now. Automotive tools are limited.
