How do I discontinue my membership?

You can cancel your membership, and discontinue the recurring dues payments, in the same place you started it - through our Website, powered by Squarespace.

1. On the top right of the main 10bitworks.com homepage, you will see "Account" in the navigation menu, if you're logged in. If not, click "Login" and sign in with the same email and password you signed up with.
2. After logging in, click "Account" to pull up the Squarespace sidebar on the right.
3. Choose "Subscriptions" from the menu. -
4. Look under "Active Subscriptions" and select your active subscription.
5. At the bottom in red is the Cancel button. Click it.
6. To confirm, make sure you've received the cancellation email from Squarespace. Reply to this email to tell us about why you're leaving.

Once confirmed, no further charges will occur. Since dues cover a whole month at a time, you will remain a member for the rest of the period that you last paid dues for. 

This means you will still have access to the building for 1-30 days after you discontinue, depending on your billing cycle. Please use this time to return your access card, and gather any personal belongings from the space. Abandoned items will be forfeited according to our Abandonment Policy.

If you resume membership within 12 months, you will not have to retake basic onboarding, or any safety classes you previously completed!

Policy Note: Following the steps above is currently the only way to cancel your membership - our Support Team cannot do it for you. For the purposes of our Refund Policy, you are only considered to have canceled on the day you complete these steps.  If there is a Squarespace outage or other external service problem that prevents you from carrying out these instructions, notify us immediately. Otherwise, contacting us, regardless of channel, message, or response, is not a substitute for following these instructions, does not constitute a cancellation, and does not make you eligible for a refund for continued charges.
